Boo

Hello, hello.
Over at Joy's Life Design Team blog, you will be seeing all sorts of projects this week! Be prepared to be wowed! :o)
I decided to make a Halloween card using non-traditional colors.
The little ghost is from Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.
The sentiment is from Joy's Life stamps, Halloween Puns stamp set.  I just love it!
The face on this little ghost is from Peachy Keen's In Stitches assortment set.
The crinkle ribbon is Baby Boy from 3 Girl Jam. Since it's a Halloween card, I decided to ink it up and give it a little darker look. I inked it up with Faded Jeans and Black Soot Distress Inks.

Have a fun, crafty day!

Frankly..

Hello everyone! Over at Made Especially for You we have a color challenge.
I decided to make a Halloween card, yep with these colors ;)

Here is my card.
This cute Frankenstein, tooth, and sentiment are from Peachy Keen's Frankly... set.
This was my first time really coloring with Copic markers. Usually I just filled in lips, small flowers, etc... my coloring isn't too shabby hehe but I definitely need more practice!

I really tried to rotate this picture so you could see the sentiment, but it still wouldn't come up right on blogger. Sorry :o( The sentiment is also from the same set.

Please stop by for a chance to win three images from our sponsor, My Heart Pieces.

Telephone Blog Hop

Welcome to Made Especially For You's
Telephone Blog Hop!

If you've never heard of the "Telephone" game it's a game most often played by kids that simulates how a story can change from person to person, or how a rumor can start. For example, I may tell Susie that at lunch today I had a peanut butter sandwich, an apple, and some milk, and she may go tell Jackie that I had a turkey sandwich, an apple, and some milk. Although only one small detail was changed, over time the entire story can change. The game is played by starting with a story and whispering it from one person to the next in a circle and seeing how the story changed once the last person has told it.

We decided to play this game as a design team, not with stories, but with cards! Our DT leader Ashley started with a photo of a card, emailed it to someone, who then created a card based off her card, and sent a photo of it to the next person. As a design team, this is the first time we're seeing the progression of the cards!

Here is the photo of the card I received from Robin from The Cricut Scrapper

And here is the card I created inspired by her card:
I took her chevron pattern paper as inspiration and ran from there. The duck and it's face is from Peachy Keen's Duck and Egg Die. The sentiment is from Peachy Keen's Duck Dolls stamp set.

What fun is a blog hop without blog candy?! A couple of our design team members have donated some blog candy for those who comment on EVERY stop of the hop!

Trick or Treat

Hi everybody! Over at Joy's Life design team blog we will be showcasing 3D projects!
I was going through a few Halloween blog hops this past week and couldn't help but notice that the coffin from Artiste makes an amazing candy holder! I was inspired especially by one project, but I'm sorry to say I forgot the blog it was from.
I really had a lot of fun creating this project. Although I don't make 3D projects, I enjoy them a lot!
Spoiler Alert: TONS of pictures and details!

The coffin and spider web are from the CTMH Artiste cartridge. I just ♥ this cartridge to pieces! It really has everything for every occasion, theme, etc!

The sentiment is from Joy's Life Halloween Puns stamp set.
I've never used this stamp before because I was a little intimidated by it. I wasn't sure if it would stamp completely, if it would come out blotchy, etc.... but not to worry.. it stamped PERFECTLY! I love the quality of these stamps!

The paper I used is from Michael's Recollection's Midnight Magic stack. I inked around the edges with Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord Distress Inks to give it more of a Halloween look. I took a close up of the paper so you can see all of the fun Halloween words it has. :o)

The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam (Antique White). I also inked the crinkle ribbon with Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord Distress Inks
The twine is Orange Licorice from Trendy Twine.
The coffin is holding some yummy treats.
Side view. The coffin was cut at 7.5 inches.
Side view again. The spider web was cut at 2.75 inches.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a fun, crafty day!

Happy :o)

Hi everybody! Over at Made Especially for You we have a technique challenge. The challenge is to create a card using the misting technique. I love challenges that include techniques because I can play/practice techniques I usually don't do. Join us here! :o)
So my card is pretty simple, I was going for a totally different look than what I usually do... I'm not exactly sure if I'm 100% in love with my card lol

So here are the details! I got a piece of white card stock and inked it up with Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Vintage Photo, and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I then used my Ranger mini mister to mist it (I may have gone a little over board with the misting hehe). The paper curled up because of the water, but like Tim Holtz suggest, use your heat tool to speed up the process.
The pictures are dark so you can't really see how the paper really looks, but here's a picture so you can get an idea.
The pattern paper I used was from my scraps... I was trying use my scraps, but I'm not sure I chose the correct patterns/colors..

Hello, hello ♥
Over at Joy's Life Design Team blog, we will be showcasing projects that include embossing.
The sentiment is from Joy's Life It's All Fall Puns stamp set. ♥
This cute little turkey is from Create a Critter cartridge. I used the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder for the embossing.
Here's a close up of the sentiment.
This little fella is on an action wobble.
Action wobbles are so much fun!

you're in my thoughts

Hello everyone! It's Monday, let's make this an amazing week! :o)
This week's challenge over at Made Especially for You is to create a card using three leaves
I decided to go with a very clean and simple look and created two cards.
All of the leaves are from the Art Philosophy cartridge
I cut all six leaves on white cardstock. I then used Crushed Olive, Vintage Photo, Festive Berries, and Wild Honey distress inks to ink them up. After inking them up, I splashed water on them to give them a different look.
The stamp is from a stamp set I bought at Michael's. I threw away the package and can't remember the name. :o(

I hope you join this week's challenge over at Made Especially for You! The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to V's Sweet Ideas

Thank you for stopping by my crafty friends!
