U + Me, Back to school card

** Click HERE for Blog Candy from the Create Blog Hop! **

Hello everyone! Lately I've been MIA, because I have soo much going on lately with work, school, and just life :-/ I'm sorry I haven't stopped by your blogs as much, but I will definitely be making time!

Anywhoo!! This week I saw A LOT of Back to School challenges, so I decided to join in with a card :-)

The paper and glue are from Simply Charmed cartridge.
The sentiment "we stick together" and "U + Me" are from Joy's Life. The set is called Sweet Popsicle PunsIsn't it cuuute!
The sweet faces on the glue and paper are from Peachy Keen's Cherub Assortment

I'm not sure if you can tell, but instead of distressing the white paper with distress ink I used blending chalk. The paper is from DCWV's Grade School stack. For the card base, I just cut a regular A2 size card and used my corner rounder for the corners.

mini swatch book

Hi everyone! Over at Joy's Life DT blog we are showing you many ways to create your own swatch books/albums! Today I have a mini swatch book to share with you. I focused my mini album on the Wild Life Puns stamp set.

These mini swatch books are so easy and fun to make! I simply cut four 4x4 pieces of white paper with my trimmer, used a corner rounder on 3 corners and just embellished!

The sentiment mat and the frame are from the Elegant Edges cartridge

Again, all of the stamps are from the Wild Life Puns set. This set can be so fun, especially with die cuts!
This banner is from the Artiste cartridge. I actually cut it a tad bit too big and just trimmed it from the sides (I'm sure it looks nothing like it originally did LOL). The fish is from the Create a Critter cartridge
I didn't photograph this, but there is a small photo mat on the back of each page.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hello Krafty friends. It's time for another challenge over at Krafty Girls. This week's challenge is Anything Goes. Make sure to stop by the Krafty Girls blog and read the news they have to share.
For my card, I kept it simple.
This darling girl is from The Greeting Farm stamps - Flirty Anya. I just love they're stamps, but I'm terrible at coloring them!
The paper is from My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two paper pad.

Thank you for stopping by!

Create with Joy's Life stamps and Cri-Kit gel pens Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome!
You should have arrived from Ashley's blog, if not make sure you start from the beginning over at Joy's blog... this is a hop you don't want to miss!

If you stopped by earlier, you saw that I was having trouble with blogger
I was able to work out all the kinks and quirks after all.

I think I mentioned this before, but the Cri-Kit gel pens are awesome!! You can use them for any image/cut to give your project a different look. When I got the cartridge Summer in Paris I loved it, but never really used it because of the intricate cuts. So, hey what a neat way to put these pens to use.
The chair is from the Summer in Paris cartridge. The sentiment is from Joy's You're So Punny stamp set stamped with Memento ink in Bahama Blue.
Here's a close up of the chair - I used the regular black Cri-Kit gel pen. I added liquid pearls in Bisque on the chair.

Time for some blog candy!
Since I was having problems with blogger earlier, all you have to do is just leave a comment. Easy peasy. The winner will be chosen randomly and I'll post it up next Saturday, September 1st.

Friends make life SWEET

Hello everybody! Over at Joy's Life DT we are showcasing some fabulous stamp sets. They're definitely oldies, but goodies!
For my project, I decided to use my new Artiste cartridge! The box and the sentiment mat are both from that cartridge.
The sentiment is from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set.

The paper is from one of my favorite sets, DCWV's Playtime stack!
This is actually a box, but I made it into a "mini purse" by using my crop-a-dile to punch holes on the side and attach the ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by!

My cousin will be starting kindergarten so I made this lollipop holder so he can give it to his teacher. I actually made this using the gypsy by welding different cuts together.

The sentiment is from Joy's Life All Around Sentiments
I stamped the sentiment on both the front and the back. Here's the back.
Here's a close up of the sentiment.
* I scraplifted the idea from Connie's Crafty Closet, you can see her mini tutorial here* This was my first attempt and I'm thinkin' "not too shabby" hehe

This gift card holder is so super simple to make! The gift card holder is from Cindy Loo cartridge. It's cut at 7 inches only because of the way it's on the cartridge.
The sentiment mat is from Twinkle Toes cartridge. The sentiment is from Joy's Barnyard Puns
Here's the inside. I'm not giving a way a Red Robin rewards card LOL it's just for display ;) It's actually going to have a gift card for a home improvement store.

Back to School gift card holders :-)

Hello everybody! Over at Joy's Life DT, we are showing you Back To School projects. My brother will be starting middle school this fall and my sister will be starting high school! Wowza! I cannot believe how time flies! I made a gift card holder for each of them so they can go back to school shoppin'!
I don't know about you, but I had no clue this handy dandy gift card holder was in the Wild Card cartridge! I cut it at 4.5 inches (I would recommend cutting it a teeny bit smaller, maybe 4.45 or 4.4 inches, because the slits were a little far apart, but it still fit). The gift card holder doesn't come with the scallop border though, I had to weld it with the Gypsy. The border is from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridge
This sentiment is from Joy's Father & Son stamp set! You can mix and match the sentiments! How cool is that!
Here's a a closer look. The pattern paper is from DCWV's Grade School stack.
This is what you see when you open it.
This is the one I made for my sister. The pattern paper is from DCWV's Celebration stack.
The sentiment is from Joy's Pun in the Sun stamp set!
This is how they look when opened. I haven't bought the gift cards yet, so I just used this Kohl's card to sample it. :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
