Save the Earth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl

Wowza! It's Monday and the Seventh Fantabulous Cricut Crawl . . . Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop! How exciting!

The theme is "Save the Earth" and through this crawl you'll get a chance to see each design team member featuring a project using a recycled item and at least one Cricut cut

If you got here from visiting Cindy at Cindy's Scraptastic Designs you're in the right place!  If you just happened to pass by my blog I would love for you to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE. =)

I decided to do a supply holder for my desk!
The item I reused was this container that held some flowers.
I even used all scraps for this project ;)

I decided to go with this project because my supplies were so unorganized!!!
The scrap paper was just the perfect size!
I added this cuuute girl from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. Her face is from Peachy Keen's Happy Lashes assortment
I just added a few punch outs from an old paper stack around the container.
Here is the end result :)
Not 100% organized, but much better!

Ready for some blog candy?!?
Peachy Keen's new Cherub Faces 1 1/8th set!

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and that's it! =)

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Save the Earth" project at FCCB!

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Upcycled-Themed projects! Make sure to include a Cricut Cut somewhere on your project!

Next stop is Faith at Faith Abigail Designs! Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Here's the line up so you know the way ;)

Hello everybody! Mother's Day is coming up pretty soon and over at Krafty Girls we have the perfect challenge. The challenge this week is Dear Mom. All you have to do is create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project for Mother's Day.
The banner is from the Art Philosophy cartridge. It is layered on the chipboard that comes with the Art Philosophy bundle. The word "MOM" is from Storybook
The twine used is Blossom from The Twinery.
This sentiment is from My Creative Time's Mom You Rock set. I used two stamps to create this sentiment (I stamped them a little too close :/ )

Take a look at the rest of the DT to get inspiration and don't forget to join in here!!

Isn't the face just darling! It's from Peachy Keen's new stamp release. It's the Here Kitty Kitty Face assortment! It's my first time using background stamps and I messed up a little :( I used the Market Street Stamps' Pretty Perfect Grid
Not sure if you knew this, but you can purchase Market Street Stamps through Peachy Keen here;)

You are my Sunshine

♫ You are my sunshine.. my only sunshine.. you make me happy.. when skies are gray ♫

I had this song in my head the entire time while making this card!
This darling girl is from the Paper Dolls Teen Scene cartridgeThe color yellow from Peachy Keen's color inspiration really caught my eye!
Her face is from Peachy Keen's Blushing Bride Interchangeable Faces. Isn't it PERFECT for her!?!? I've been having wayyy too much fun with this cartridge!
The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Amusing Animals set. For the "rain drops" I used Baby Blue liquid pearls, don't they look cool! I actually got this idea from Tonya from Itty Bitty Ladybugs
The umbrella is from the Paisley cartridge. It initially had a butterfly, but hid it using the Gypsy. The cute face on it is from Peachy Keen's The Cornies assortment. I used Denim twine from The Twinery.
The card is is 9 in x 3.85 in, perfect for a business envelope. I had to make the doll this large so I could use the face from the Blushing Bride set

Happy Birthday

** Click HERE for my 100th follower giveaway ♥ **

It's been a while since I've made a birthday card and my stash is running low, so a birthday card it is!

I re-discovered the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and like the first time, I'm in love! The girl and balloons are from that cartridge.
The face on the girl is from Peachy Keen's Princess Face assortment and so is the one on the pink balloon. The face on the blue balloon is from PK's Boy Mates assortment. The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper's Sweetest Cupcakes set.
The doll is mounted on two layers of foam tape to "pop" up!
As for the balloon string, I just got white string and used a copic marker to color it into the color I needed.
The balloon patterned paper is from a paper stack I've been hoarding since last NOVEMBER. I got it on my first and only Hobby Lobby visit! I live far from all of them :(
Anywhoo, here's the card again! :)

Explosion Box

Hello everybody! TGIF right!?
I got a lot more crafty time in this week than normal and I have to say, it feels GREAT!!! Have you guys ever tried doing an explosion box? If you haven't, you MUST! They are so much fun!
Here is mine closed with the lid on.

This is how it looks when you open it.  I have designated three boxes for photos, three for die cuts, and two for journaling. I know you can barely see it, but the journaling spot on the upper left hand corner says "Happiness is..." and it's from Pink By Design's Country Living set. I'm still undecided on what will be going on the center, but I'll make sure to post a pic later on! :)
I know I've used  this sun a million and one times, but it's my favorite along with my favorite Peachy Keen face! The sun is from Doodlecharms cartridge and the face is from the Happy Lashes assortment! The sentiment is from PBD's Winter Fun
The wheelbarrow is from Pooh and Friends cartridge. The sentiment is also from PBD's Country Living. The face on the heart is from Peachy Keen's Princess Face assortment.
"Just a Note" is from Pink by Design's Rock On set.  I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

Birthday Princess

I usually don't do sketch challenges because I don't feel that comfortable with them, but I decided to practice with the one for the Peachy Keen Challenge :)
This is the sketch provided.
Here's my layout based on the sketch.
I got the color combo for the doll's dress from a doll on google, but totally forgot to get the link! :( The Princess is from Once Upon a Princess cartridge. Her peachy face is from Peachy Keen's Princess Face assortment
The phrase "Birthday Princess" is from the Birthday Cakes cartridge. I cut it twice and placed it at a position to make it look like a shadow. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass distress ink and added Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to accent the title.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Wow! So Many Candles set stamped with Memento Rose Bud.
Here's my LO again. I'm not sure if you can see it, but I inked the edges of the two large rectangles with Tim Holtz Tattered Rose distress ink. The pink border on them is from Martha Stewart's Heart Edge punch
