For Peep's Sake

For peep's sake, what's going on with blogger! I'm so sorry my post is so late, I had it scheduled but not sure what happened & it's gone! I JUST got home from Jury Duty soooo here it is. It's time for Krafty Girls Challenge #4 which is For Peep's Sake! All you have to do is create a scrapbook page, card, 3D item, or home decor project that incorporates Easter.
For my super simple card I used 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge for the bird, bunny ears, and the cracked egg. The grass is from Sports Mania.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted to use a peachy face but I recently bought enamel accents, which are similar to liquid pearls and I really wanted to try them out for eyes.
I also coated "the inside" of the ears with Crackle Accents (not sure if you can tell in the picture, but in real life it actually looks cracked SO COOL!) The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy

Spring is in the Air

Boy,,  does time fly or what! Tomorrow is the first day of Spring! This week's challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is just PERFECT for it :) All you have to do is use at least three flowers in your project!
The title font is from the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I'm so behind on my scrapbook layouts, so I made a quick one! I actually got the idea of "catching up" on layouts by doing them for challenges from Tracey from Trail of Treasures. We'll see how it goes :)
I colored these cuties with my newly acquired copics! My bestie and I scored a set of 36 SKETCH markers for $136!! What a steal! =)  BUUUT I havent mastered them :( If you have any tips please let me know!! =)
All three flowers are from Peachy Keen's Funny Flowers set. It's one of the first non-face stamps I got!
I didnt want to do too much on the LO because I didn't want to cover this beautiful glitter paper! :)

Krafty Girls #3

It's time for another Krafty Girls challenge! Challenge # 3 is to create a card, scrapbook layout, 3D object, or home decor project with a handmade flower somewhere on it.
For my card today I welded the shadow of the flower to a small rectangle, then onto a larger one, making the base.
This is how it looks closed, flat. The flower and its base are from Country Life.
This is how it looks open. I created my own "design" for the vase by just stamping different stamps with versamark ink and then heat embossing them with white powder. After, I just colored the base pink with Spun Sugar distress ink.
This is the side view, while open. I inked around the edges of the base with Wild Honey distress ink. For the flowers, I just cut the flowers three times each :)

Happy Birthday!

I haven't made a birthday card in a LONG time (at least it feels like it!)
Birthday Sundaes is having a challenge - get messy! Here's what i did!
I cut this cupcake in white cardstock -it's from the From My Kitchen cartridge. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom's Simple Sentiments
I went ahead and colored the pieces with Tim Holtz Distress Inks using the blending tool.
circle/"cherry" - Barn Door
the top of the cupcake - Spun Sugar
the silhouette-like of the cupcake top - Victorian Velvet
cherry leaf - Crushed Olive
bottom layer of the cupcake wrapper - Broken China
top layer of the cupcake wrapper - Faded Jeans
I cut the scallop circle and circle also in white cardstock from the Art Philosophy cartridge.
I colored it using the blending tool also. The scallop circle is colored with Broken China and the circle with Wild Honey.
I then sprayed it with only water with my mini mister to give it a blotchy look. (not sure if you can see it) Hopefully you can in at least one of these photos. :/
I used Perfect Pearls with Perfect Medium to give it some shine and finished it off with very little doodling on the cherry and wrapper.
I also inked the edges of the patterned paper with Broken China. Again, here's the final outcome :)
